Smoky beef rub

This rub works great for spicy steaks and/or lamb. I used smoked sea salt that I purchased on our trip to Napa, but you can use either store bought smoked sea salt or regular sea salt if you prefer. Remember to play around with ingredients and make your own additions and subtractions to better suit your taste. 

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • 3 Tbsp smoked sea salt (or regular) 
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ground black pepper 
  • 1 Tsp ground white pepper 
  • 1/2 Tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika 
  •  1 Tsp dried thyme 
  • 1 Tsp onion powder 
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
